This is not for tutorials. I repeat, this is not for tutorials!
I’m a product junkie and have entirely too much in terms of make-up and skin products. Basically, if I see a product that I like, I buy it. I can’t help it! Who doesn’t get weak in the knees walking through a Sephora or Ulta? So this area is reserved for all of those wonderful things that I splurge on during my shopping hauls.
All in all, I have roughly 7 make up bags full of cosmetics, 8 eye palettes, and a horde of things spread out on the dresser that would make Dany Sanz cry out of happiness. I love my stash but I like to stick to my guns when it comes to my staples. Things like foundation hold a special place in my heart and I’m very wary when it comes to trying new products. I used to blend anywhere from 2 to 3 foundations to get the right shade but after much experimentation, I’ve finally found my perfect match.
My go to foundation for the past four years has been Make Up Forever HD Invisible Cover. It’s a bit pricey, running $42 for a 1.01 oz bottle, but it glides over my skin easily and coverage is amazing! As with any foundation, it’s not wise to sleep it, and it does clog my pores a bit if I do. But that’s only to be expected for my own laziness. The saddest moment is when I have to buy a new bottle, not only because I have to replace it but also because I know that it’s going to make a decent dent in my wallet.
My second favorite foundation is by Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. This is the only other foundation that I’ve come across other than Make Up Forever that matches my skin tine perfectly. I use Shade #10.0 and although it looks dark in the bottle, it blends lighter into the skin. I’ve gotten compliments of having dewy skin while wearing this brand and with a proper blending brush it really does give a matte, luminous glow to skin without the addition of Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, or Synthetic Fragrances. This is also a bit pricey, coming in at $39 for a 1 oz bottle but it’s well worth the price.
Make Up Forever’s Duo Mat Powder Foundation is my all time favorite pressed powder and is what originally got me into this brand. I always use the same powder to set my liquid foundation and I also use it when I’m just looking for limited coverage. I use shade # 216 Caramel to get my favorite matte finish and to prevent my liquid foundation from melting away. This powder runs at $34 for a 0.34oz container.
